Asking that a principal member of Barings may be nominated for the committee. The testimonial to Sir J Lubbock was to be 'in commemoration of the great national boon which has been obtained by the passing of that thoughtful and happy Act of Legislation - The Bank Holidays Bill' The Act was passed 25 May 1871.
