Welcome to the Baring Archive’s Digitised Collections!
Here you can browse and search the collections in The Baring Archive that have been digitised. You can read more about our digitisation project here.
There are two ways to search the available material:
- Search for individual items by reference number by locating it within the relevant PDF
- Use “Search through a box” to view all of a box or volumes contents in one PDF. This is our recommended search method as it will enable you to find related items, view them in their intended order and help to ensure that you don’t miss any documents that may be pertinent to your research.
For either search method it is highly recommended that you use the PDF catalogues found here in order to determine which areas of the collection you are interested in. Please be patient when waiting for files to load. They are often very large and may take some time.
The Baring Archive manages, preserves and facilitates access to both physical and digital collections, ensuring that content is safeguarded and accessible for future generations.
All material on the website is copyright of the Baring Archive Ltd but is free to use in academic publications and for personal use. Please see here for further information.
