03 - Longitudinal section of basement for No 8 Bishopsgate, undated, having scale of 1/2 inch to one foot.

Note: In 1880-81 Shaw designed a new frontage to 8 Bishopsgate, rebuilt the basement and main office to increase their size and constructed new vaults. 1888-90 new basements and galleries were added to the Banking Hall. In 1888 it was proposed that Shaw should design additional offices, see APD/02/06, towards 147 Leadenhall Street but this was not proceeded with due to the refusal of other owners [possibly due to interference with their light, see EP7].
